I'm a stay at home mother of five girls, my husband works full-time. Life isn't easy with five kids, and I often worry about my husband carrying the burden of being our families provider. I'm not asking for free handouts, my husband and I both worked hard for what we have, and will continue to work in order to build a house for our children. Last week my husband and I attempted to get a loan. It didn't work. For the last four years we've been trying to get the money together to build a new house. However, in the last six months, we've become more desperate. Our house that we are currently living in is falling apart.
For now the house will have to do, but I worry about the coming winter. This last winter we paid nearly $1600.00 to the propane company, the house doesn't hold heat very well, it seemed like we were heating the outside. Last month, we learn that our current home has termites, which was only one more thing to add to the list. Mold, a leaky roof, no air conditioning (the unit died last summer, thankfully at the beginning of fall), mice, a septic system that's about to die, a now leaning hot water tank, down to one toilet that works, etc... I could go on but I'm sure you understand. It seems like everything is hitting all at once.
All we need is $40,000.00 to build the new house. If your laughing and saying that can't build a house, well it can and will, we'll find a way to make it work. My husband and I planned on doing it ourselves. Nothing big and fancy, just safe and clean. If you could assist us in anyway possible, I would greatly appreciate it. We just need the money or material to do it.
What's silly is that we could get a loan to buy a house but not to build one. But truth be told we don't want a different house, we fell in love with the property, and bought with a dream. And now that dream is slipping away, I don't want to lose the land, it's not much but it's perfect for my little girls and I.
